Portland Women Writers: Fall Equinox Retreat

At the Fall or Autumnal Equinox on Friday, September 22nd, the sun will cross the celestial equator, making night and day approximately equal length. The Equinox is a gateway promoting balance. On the Equinox we bridge the light and the dark in the natural world as well as in our own inner landscape. This threshold is a powerful opportunity to return to the center of yourself after all that has transpired in this past year, both collectively and personally, in preparation for the quieter, more introspective season of winter.

To learn more about the event visit Portland Women Writers.

Lakshmi Retreat

Ready to revive both body and soul?  Anne Witmer and I are offering a very special retreat over labor day weekend in honor of the Goddess Lakshmi.  Lakshmi is the goddess of love, beauty, abundance and all things related to the heart. As the long, warm days of summer come to a close, we will nurture the qualities of the Goddess in ourselves to help sustain us during the Fall and Winter months.

This 4-day and 3-night lakeside retreat will give you a chance to find peace in the meditation gardens, stargaze from the hot tub, tell stories by the fire pit and practice yoga under a canopy of great cedars. Over these four days, we will invoke the energy of Lakshmi to bring more abundance into our lives physically, emotionally and spiritually.
